Spark excitement for learning in every student

Educators have a clarion call to place student agency at the heart of modern instruction. How do we spark the excitement for learning that motivates students to take responsibility for their progress? Self-direction and ownership of each instructional day are key to student engagement and higher levels of achievement. Leveling the playing field and providing access to equitable resources and opportunities are essential to developing a culture of belonging where student agency and equity can thrive.

Join us for a conference that will provide you with the research, insights, and tools to transform your classroom and school into a learning environment focused on student agency and equity. Our Canadian experts will share proven strategies that encourage students to take charge of their learning by defining and setting learning goals, developing a path and process for learning, and adapting and refining those goals based on self-assessment. Bring your team to systematically build your plan with the guidance of our experts, and create the thriving school your students, staff, and community deserve.

This event will help leadership and teacher teams:

  • Acquire tools to increase student accountability
  • Explore the 5 Paths of Student Engagement
  • Discover inclusive practices that increase equity and foster a new sense of belonging
  • Learn strategies to promote student self-assessment
  • Examine learning competencies like critical thinking, communication, creativity, and collaboration
  • Build both student and teacher efficacy
  • Begin a plan that promotes agency and equity in your school

“When students are agents in their learning, that is, when they play an active role in deciding what and how they will learn, they tend to show greater motivation to learn and are more likely to define objectives for their learning.” – OECD 2030 Project
