Virginia Mahlke

Virginia Mahlke is a consultant who works with educators and administrators nationwide. Her experience as both a teacher and administrator allows her to connect with all levels of school staff. She dedicates her energy to helping schools implement professional learning communities. Ginny worked in a variety of school systems throughout the country for more than 30 years. From her first teaching position in Inglewood, California, to subsequent professional experiences in New York, Ohio, Maryland, and Virginia, she worked closely with gifted and talented children. She was assistant principal of Dranesville Elementary School and principal of Wolftrap Elementary School, both in Fairfax County, Virginia.

In 2003, Ginny was a finalist for the county’s Principal of the Year award. A recognized voice in the world of education and professional development, Ginny has coauthored several articles for various professional journals. She continues to share her expertise with educators and administrators in an effort to ensure that all students learn. Her presentations are based on solid experience and a genuine understanding of what it takes to continuously improve schools.

Ginny earned a bachelor’s degree in American history from Hollins College and a master’s degree in teacher training from the University of Southern California.
