Professional Learning Communities

Jacqueline Heller and Paula Maeker, authors of Literacy in a PLC at Work®: Guiding Teams to Get Going and Get Better in K–6 Reading, will help literacy educators navigate the teaching, learning, assessment, and feedback cycle of reading through the lens of Professional Learning Communities (PLC) at Work.

George Georgiou, a University of Alberta professor, focuses on reading and literacy development. He leads the J. P. Das Centre on Developmental and Learning Disabilities and is an award-winning scholar and Royal Society of Canada member.

Allison Zamarripa is an educator, consultant, and advocate for building capacity and collective efficacy with teachers. She has over 18 years of experience as a middle school teacher, instructional coach, and district literacy specialist in a recognized Model PLC at Work® district.
