Privacy Policy

Our Promise

Last updated: May 25, 2018

Your information remains confidential. We pledge to regard your privacy with the highest degree of respect.

What information do we collect from you?

All information related to the transactions of Solution Tree customers is considered highly confidential. Transaction information about our customers is never sold to any third party. We believe that our customers have a right to know what information we might collect about them—and why.

How do we collect it?

We Use Behavioral Advertising

We use Google Analytics’ 3rd-party audience data such as age, gender and interests to better understanding the behavior of our customers and work with companies that collect information about your online activities to provide advertising targeted to suit your interests and preferences. For example, you may see certain ads on this website or other websites because we contract with Google and other similar companies to target our ads based on information we or they have collected, including information that was collected through automated means (such as cookies and web beacons). These companies also use automated technologies to collect information when you click on our ads, which helps track and manage the effectiveness of our marketing efforts.

You may opt out of the automated collection of information by third-party ad networks for the purpose of delivering advertisements tailored to your interests, by visiting the consumer opt-out page for the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising at http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and edit or opt-out your Google Display Network ads’ preferences at http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/.

When you visit our site, third parties may place cookies on your browser for future advertising purposes. We collect IP addresses, cookie identifiers and browser activity on our site.

You can use the NAI opt out tool here, which will allow you to opt out of seeing personalized ads. We also adhere to the EDAA guidelines for online advertising and you may opt out via their Your Online Choices website.

Order Confirmation

We will send email to acknowledge your orders with us. Under no circumstances would we ever expose any of your financial information (e.g., credit card number) in email.

You have the option to create a customer account on our website. All account information is regarded as highly confidential. Any and all private customer information comes to us via secure, encrypted data transmissions. Our customers' credit card information is not stored or archived on any publicly accessible computer system.

Why do we collect it, and how do we use it?

International Transfer

Your information, including Personal Information, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the information, including Personal Information, to United States and process it there.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Children’s Privacy

Only people age 18 or older have permission to access our service. Our service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your children have provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Data Retention

We retain the information we receive as described in this Privacy Policy for as long as you use our services or as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected, provide our services, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, enforce our agreements, and comply with applicable laws.

How do we share it?

We may access, preserve, and disclose your personal information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: (i) comply with law enforcement or national security requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (ii) respond to your requests; (iii) protect yours’, ours’ or others’ rights, property, or safety; (iv) to enforce our policies or contracts; (v) to collect amounts owed to us; (vi) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss or in connection with an investigation or prosecution of suspected or actual illegal activity; or (vii) if we, in good faith, believe that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable.

How do we protect it?

We Use the Toughest Encryption We Can

Our computers are set up to automatically use the highest level of encryption that your web browser (such as Firefox or Internet Explorer) can legally handle. We maintain a full 128-bit digital encryption certificate on our own in-house web servers for your protection.

You Have a Right to Complain and to Opt Out

We are pleased to personally address any privacy question or concern with our customers. If you believe we have violated your trust—for any reason, at any time, in any manner—we will respond immediately. We pledge to resolve any problem to your satisfaction or work with your choice of recognized consumer advocate toward resolution. We are committed to your personal satisfaction with each and every purchase you make from Solution Tree. Of course, we "can't fix what we don't know is broken," and we sincerely appreciate the opportunity to hear your feedback.

Rights of Access, Rectification, Erasure, and Restriction

You may inquire as to whether we are processing your personal information, request access to your personal information, and ask that we correct, amend or delete your personal information where it is inaccurate. You may contact us to request access to, receive (port), seek rectification, or request erasure of your personal information that we have.

Although we make good faith efforts to provide individuals with access to their Personal Information, there may be circumstances in which we are unable to provide access, including but not limited to: where the information contains legal privilege, would compromise others’ privacy or other legitimate rights, where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the individual’s privacy in the case in question, or where it is commercially proprietary. If we determine that access should be restricted in any particular instance, we will provide you with an explanation of why that determination has been made and a contact point for any further inquiries. To protect your privacy, we will take commercially reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to or making any changes to your personal information.

If at any point you do not agree to any portion of the Privacy Policy then in effect, you must immediately stop using the Services. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we’ll endeavor to notify you of those changes and we’ll update the “Last Updated Date” above to indicate when those changes will become effective.
