She enjoys working through the professional learning communities process with collaborative teams, focusing on interventions and extensions for all students.

Brittany Castillo

In her role as assistant principal at Bowman Middle School in Plano ISD, located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Brittany Castillo helped lead the campus through the professional learning communities (PLC) process in order to ensure growth for all students. Through Brittany’s work, Bowman sustained campus-wide systems to support student learning and facilitate professional development. Her areas of passion include working with teams to determine how we know if students are learning and what we do when students are already proficient.

In addition to her work as assistant principal, she has served as an English language arts and reading instructional specialist and an instructional coach for all content areas where she coached teachers one on one through interventional instructional strategies for all students.

Brittany holds a bachelor’s degree in literary studies from the University of Texas at Dallas and a master’s degree in administration from Texas Woman’s University.
