Kevin Weck

Dr. Kevin Weck is a dedicated educational leader, currently serving as the principal of Westmont High School (WHS) in Illinois. With a background as a social studies teacher, he brings a deep understanding of classroom dynamics and instructional strategies. His enthusiasm lies in leveraging data to drive informed decisions, enhancing student learning outcomes, and fostering teacher effectiveness. Through embracing the professional learning communities (PLC) process, he has honed his skills as a collaborative colleague and leader. His commitment to excellence in education is evident in his pursuit of innovative approaches to empower both students and educators alike.

Dr. Weck has led his team at WHS to earn the Summative Designation Exemplary rating by the Illinois State Board of Education every year since its implementation. The administrative team and faculty created one of the most improved Advanced Placement programs in the country and are rated Gold for the 2023 AP School Honor Recognition. WHS has been nationally recognized as a 2021 National Blue Ribbon Award winner and was the 2020 DuFour Award winner for best Model PLC at Work® school. In 2020, Dr. Weck was recognized by the Illinois Principals Association as the DuPage County Assistant Principal of the Year.

Dr. Weck holds a doctorate in education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He also earned a superintendent endorsement and an Illinois principal's license (formerly known as 75 Certificate). He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his masters degree from National-Louis University.
