Amanda Wood

Amanda Wood is elementary deputy principal of Singapore American School, the largest single-campus international school in the world and a model PLC. She has been an educator for nearly 20 years and has taught in both elementary and middle school classrooms.

Amanda works closely with grade-level teams and school leadership to develop clear learning targets, common formative assessments, and differentiated support for students. She is a certified strengths communicator (StrengthsFinder) and Understanding by Design trainer.

She has served on numerous Western Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation teams for international schools in Southeast Asia, including the Taipei American School and Hong Kong International School. During the 2013–14 accreditation process, she served as the Singapore American School WASC coordinator.

Amanda holds a bachelor of education from the University of Victoria in British Columbia and a master of arts in education leadership from Michigan State University.
