Amy Cockcroft has more than 30 years of experience in education. She has served as a math teacher; principal; director of professional learning; executive director of curriculum, instruction, and assessment; and assistant superintendent.

Amy Cockcroft has more than 30 years of experience in education. She has served as a math teacher; principal of both middle and elementary schools; director of professional learning; executive director of curriculum, instruction, and assessment; and assistant superintendent of a large district. She has led work in professional learning communities, leadership, literacy, strong instruction, and curriculum.
Amy has helped lead Lake County Schools to become a Model PLC at Work® district. Through that work, she has facilitated groups of more than 200 participants and coached small teams in order to build capacity among other leaders. Her expertise in curriculum and instruction helps her facilitate collaborative teams in the PLC process. As a principal, she led each of her schools to top state grades by building a strong culture and leading through the work of collaborative teams, effective literacy, and instructional practices.
Amy has presented in several states and internationally. She has also participated in the Solution Tree Charting New Paths in PreK–12 Education Podcast.
Amy earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Florida.
