Amy Moore

Amy Moore leads Deer Valley Unified School District’s PLC vision and mission as the professional learning manager. The district consists of 40 schools, 32,000 students, 15 departments, and 3,894 staff members. In May 2021, it was recognized as a model PLC district. Amy has served in education roles as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and university adjunct professor. Accomplishments include transforming a Title I elementary from low performing to an A rating by the Arizona Department of Education and an A+ school of excellence. She consistently achieved annual increases in test scores on the AZ standardized testing while growing student enrollment.

Career highlights include being named a best STEM school finalist and was the Upper Iowa adjunct professor of the year and excellence in teaching award recipient. Amy has mentored principals from around the state of Arizona and serves on the Arizona Educational Foundation A+ selection board and has experience presenting at the national level including Learning Forward and STEM Conferences.

Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude with her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Northern Iowa. She received her master’s degree in educational leadership from Drake University.
