Barbara Tasber

Barbara Tasber is the director of learning and continuous improvement for Windsor Central School District in Windsor, New York. As an educator and leader with over 20 years of experience, she is instrumental in leading the professional learning community (PLC) process throughout the district. In her role, she facilitates professional learning and collaborative work, and she specializes in new teacher support, instructional coaching, tiered intervention, and curriculum and instruction work directly tied to the four critical questions of a PLC.

Previously, Barbara was an administrator for managed technology services at the South Central Regional Information Center in Binghamton, New York. She also taught at the elementary level for 15 years and served as an instructional technology professional learning specialist for two years.

Barbara has been an advocate for professional growth and professional learning communities throughout her career. She is a member of the School Administrators Association of New York State and has presented at many conferences, including the International Society for Technology in Education, New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education, the New York State Rural Schools Association, and Southern Tier ConnectED.

Barbara received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and elementary education from St. John Fisher College, as well as a master’s degree in literacy and a certificate of advanced study in educational leadership from Binghamton University.
