Beth Dalton, EdD, is an educator and presenter with more than 35 years of experience. In her career, she has served as an assistant superintendent of human resources, an assistant superintendent of student services, a special education supervisor, a principal, an assistant principal, and a special education teacher.

The majority of Dr. Dalton’s career was spent in Kildeer Countryside Community Consolidated School District 96 in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. All schools in the district have been named Model PLC at Work® Schools, making Kildeer one of only a small number of districts to earn this distinction.

She is a recipient of the 2011 Those Who Excel School Administrator Recognition Award presented by the Illinois State Board of Education and the 2020 Distinguished Service Award from the Illinois Association of School Personnel Administrators.

Dr. Dalton served as the president of the American Association of School Personnel Administrators and has been a chair for numerous committees at the national level. She is also a founding member of the Illinois Association of School Personnel Administrators and has been part of the board of the organization since its inception in 2006, including a term as president. She has presented at national and state conferences and served as an adjunct professor for Loyola University of Chicago.

Dr. Dalton earned a bachelor’s degree in business education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a master’s degree in educational leadership from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a doctorate degree in curriculum and instruction from Loyola University Chicago. In addition, she holds a Professional Human Capital Leader in Education (pHCLE) certification.
