Deb Olson

Deb Olson is an educator with over 30 years of experience. She has been a teacher, coach, curriculum director, and most recently a superintendent for the Clinton Community School District (CCSD) in Clinton, Iowa, which is in a socioeconomically diverse community. Under Deb’s leadership, CCSD became a model PLC, and Clinton High School became a model RTI site.

CCSD and Ms. Olson have received numerous awards and honors for the district’s groundbreaking work with the PLC and RTI processes, as well as with technology. Deb was one of 100 superintendents from across the United States who met with the president and secretary of education at a Future Ready Summit, representing districts incorporating innovative technology methods for learning in schools today. She has also been named State Administrator of the Year for English-Second Language. District Administration Magazine honored CCSD as an inaugural recipient of their Districts of Distinction Awards. Whittier Elementary School is a national “Blue Ribbon” school as well as a model PLC school. Clinton High School is both a model PLC school and a model RTI site. US News and World Report routinely names Clinton High School as one of the best high schools in America.
