Elizabeth Ferguson

Elizabeth Ferguson has campus experience at the secondary level, having served grade 7–12 students and staff of Pasadena ISD in Pasadena, Texas from 2009–2023. In her roles as classroom teacher, member of her district’s new-teacher training team, and campus administrator at both the intermediate and high school levels, Elizabeth has worked with campuses to establish effective professional learning communities (PLC) and implement processes to analyze and utilize data to drive instruction. She has led teams to build sustainable systems for students receiving special education services and developed teacher training programs to maximize student growth through quality IEP writing and implementation in addition to high-quality Tier I instruction.

Elizabeth has helped to lead two historically low-performing campuses to earn the distinction of being named Model PLC at Work® schools for the first time. Working with high-poverty populations at schools with the largest number of students receiving special education services in the district, Elizabeth has established systems to move students forward academically, socially, and behaviorally. As a former master scheduler at a 6A campus, she has experience successfully navigating the many obstacles that make common planning time and co-teaching partnerships challenging. Elizabeth is passionate about sharing her experience to help schools find practical and effective ways to ensure all students become college, career, and world ready.
