Gerald R. Williams has over 15 years’ experience implementing and supporting PLC and RTI work in schools and districts. Most recently, he served as the executive director of elementary education for the Nampa School District in Idaho.

Gerald R. Williams has over 15 years’ experience implementing and supporting PLC and RTI work in schools and districts. Most recently, he served as the executive director of elementary education for the Nampa School District in Idaho. He also served nine years as director of educational services for the Placer County Office of Education in California.
He has extensive experience training administrators and staff in the development of formative assessments and the use of student achievement data to inform instruction and interventions. As a site administrator of diverse and high-poverty schools, Gerald provided effective leadership, which led to large gains in student academic outcomes. Gerald also has experience providing targeted support to school improvement districts and school sites.
Gerald has a strong record of success in the effective implementation of PLCs and RTI, including development and implementation of interventions designed to the specific needs of students. He has received in-depth training in Applied Implementation Science through the National Implementation Research Network at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. In recognition of his knowledge and expertise in effective implementation practices, he was appointed a member of the National Advisory Board for State Implementation & Scaling-Up of Evidenced-Based Practices in 2014.
Gerald holds a bachelor of science in education from Missouri Southern State University and a master of arts in school administration from Azusa Pacific University.
