In 2017, Fern Creek won Solution Tree’s prestigious DuFour Award and $25,000 prize. Created in honor of PLC architect Richard DuFour, the award credits high-performing schools that demonstrate exceptional levels of student achievement. In 2016, Fern Creek received the School Innovation and Change Award through the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative.
Michelle specializes in training instructional coaches in PLCs, creating differentiated professional learning programs for beginning and sustaining successful PLCs, implementing RTI systems, developing teacher leaders, and using PLCs to support turnaround efforts in schools with at-risk populations.
