Michelle Wambach is an elementary principal at Village Meadows Elementary in the Sierra Vista Unified Public School District #68 in Southern Arizona, where she has been an educator for 20 years. During her time in Sierra Vista, she has served as a classroom teacher, a student achievement teacher, a Title I Coordinator, a principal, and a principal mentor.
Michelle is passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students—where every kid is a general education student first. She has played a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape for the campuses she has supported.
Under Michelle’s guidance, the schools she has supported as an administrator have achieved remarkable milestones, including moving her first elementary school from a “D” to a “B” label and applying to have her current school as “A Distinguished Title I School” due to their academic growth over the past two years. She is dedicated to creating a nurturing, collaborative atmosphere that empowers students and educators.
An advocate for lifelong learning, Michelle remains deeply invested in the success and well-being of each student and each staff member, aiming to cultivate a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Northern Arizona University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Arizona State University.
