Renee Tristan

Renee Tristan is an English language arts content specialist for Tomball Independent School District in Northwest Houston, TX. As an instructional leader and literacy coach, her work focuses on the implementation of standards-aligned teaching and higher levels of literacy for all students.

Her passion for literacy drives her daily as she works with collaborative teams on literacy instructional design and providing targeted interventions to meet the needs of ALL students. Her service has included teaching primary grades, dyslexia and literacy intervention, and literacy coach.

Renee has earned the distinctions of Suburban Houston Association of Bilingual Educators ESL Teacher of the Year and TISD Most Valuable Teacher. She also served at a highly collaborative school that earned Model PLC School status, as recognized by ALLThingsPLC.

She completed her undergraduate studies at Sam Houston State University and received her master’s degree in educational leadership from Stephen F. Austin University. Her teaching certifications include generalist EC-4, ESL K-12, and Special Education K-12.
