Sarah Ballew

Sarah Ballew is the district mathematics coordinator for grades K-12 at Willis ISD in Texas. She specializes in helping instructional leaders at the elementary and secondary levels implement PLC processes that impact teaching and learning.

During her 20 years of experience in education, Ms. Ballew has also served as an elementary school math teacher, middle school math teacher, and elementary assistant principal. In her current role, she supports diverse campuses across the district, including two elementary campuses that have been recognized as Model PLC Schools.

Sarah has received many awards and honors throughout her career. She was named the Willis ISD Elementary District Teacher of the Year, was nominated for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, and was a finalist for the Educational Service Center VI Regional Teacher of the Year.

Ms. Ballew earned her bachelor’s degree in education with an emphasis on mathematics from Sam Houston State University and her master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Lamar University.
