Tim Reid

Tim Reid, EdD, serves as the director of pupil services at Nevada Joint Union High School District in rural Northern California. As part of the leadership team, he focuses on ensuring all students learn at high levels and maintains an unyielding focus on collaboration, culture, and results.

With more than 16 years of experience as a teacher and administrator, Dr. Reid has served staff and families by creating and maintaining a healthy school culture and promoting system fidelity. He has been the lead administrator for the Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Severe, Emotional Disturbed, and Transition/WorkAbility transition programs and has participated in nearly 2,000 IEP meetings. In addition, he has provided Pro-ACT training for the district, facilitated training related to special and general education, guided all departments to ensure that staff members follow best practices and the laws and regulations of special education, and professionally mediated with parents and advocates to develop plans to best serve students.

Dr. Reid earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business from California State University, Chico, and a master’s degree in agriculture education from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. He completed his doctorate in curriculum and instruction at Capella University.
