Gib Ostheimer

Gib Ostheimer is a high school principal in Wyoming and a former secondary science teacher and elementary school principal. With more than two decades of education experience in Nevada, Minnesota, and Wyoming, he has worked with schools on topics including assessment architecture, instructional agility, school improvement and culture, student learning and engagement, and the development of common formative and summative assessments that more accurately measure student learning.

Gib has served on a number of different district-level committees including school improvement, culture and climate, school safety, and handbook and policy, and he has developed successful new teacher induction and mentoring programs. He also serves as a school district accreditation team member for the Wyoming Department of Education.

Gib earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona, a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, and certification as a K–12 principal and curriculum director from the University of Wyoming.
