Benjamin Luis

Benjamin Luis is the assistant superintendent of Lemoore Union Elementary School District in California’s Central Valley. An educator for more than 20 years, he specializes in building capacity in leaders and collaborative teacher teams through the PLC process and positive school culture. He previously served as a middle school principal, assistant principal, athletic director, coach, grade-level chair, and elementary teacher.

As principal of Liberty Middle School, Benjamin transformed a school that was identified as one of the lowest performing in the state to one that received Model PLC at Work® designation in 2019. During this time, he was a finalist for the California League of Middle Schools Educator of the Year and was the Administrator of the Year in Kings County. Under his leadership, Liberty Middle School has been recognized as an Educational Results Partnership Honor Roll School, National High Flying School, State and National School to Watch, Bonnor Award winner for Character Education and Citizenship, and US News Best Middle School.

Benjamin earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Fresno Pacific University and a master’s degree in educational administration from National University. Additionally, he received his multiple subject teaching authorization through Chapman University.
