Gabriel Ward is an elementary math specialist for the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District in Los Angeles, California. Gabriel is passionate about exploring mathematics deeply and continually learning, working to ensure that children and adult learners alike enjoy and engage with the subject.

In his nearly two decades of instruction across Southern California, Gabriel has taught at the preschool, elementary, and middle school levels. In his current role, Gabriel regularly teaches inquiry-based model lessons, facilitates meetings of professional learning communities, and supports ad

ministrators and coaches to address academic achievement.

Gabriel has presented at local and national conferences, including the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics annual conference. He is also a member of the California Mathematics Council, the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics, and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

Gabriel earned his bachelor’s degree from California State Polytechnic University (Pomona) and his master’s degree in education from Claremont Graduate University.
