Ted Goergen, EdD, is the director of student activities at the award-winning Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois. A practitioner for 20 years, he also served as a middle and high school science teacher and curriculum team leader.

Paula Maeker is an educator, presenter, and advocate for learner-centered education. She has more than 23 years’ experience as an elementary teacher, literacy specialist, instructional coach, Title 1 program coordinator, campus administrator, director of elementary literacy, and director of instructional design.

Participants will explore how collaborative teams design and use Common Formative Assessments (CFAs) to gather evidence of instructional effectiveness and make informed adjustments. The session highlights the power of job-embedded professional learning that occurs when educators work in teams to respond collectively to student needs. Attendees will also learn how building networks across schools accelerates improvement by sharing strategies and successes.

Paul M. White, PhD, is the superintendent of New Prairie United School Corporation in Northern Indiana. He has experience as a secondary-level special education teacher, social studies teacher, middle school principal, and high school principal.

Kimberly Moore, EdD, is the director of educator development and effectiveness with over 20 years of experience as a teacher, coordinator, assistant principal, and principal. She specializes in professional learning communities and RTI at Work™, supporting schools and districts in building effective systems to improve learning for all students.

Rebecca Terry served as the early childhood coordinator and instructional specialist in the Pasadena Independent School District for the last 19 years. She worked closely with campus administrators, coaches, and teachers to transform education practices for young learners.
