Amy Miller

Amy Miller is the career and technical education director in Richland School District. She spent the previous 23 years in the White River School District. Amy has over 25 years experience in secondary education. Prior to assuming this position and overseeing the CTE Singletons in White River, she served as a 9-12 agriculture science CTE teacher instructing a range of singleton courses.

Amy began her professional learning communities (PLC) journey in the White River School District as a teacher on the life science team and then moved to administration and began supporting the CTE singletons, ensuring they address the four critical questions and embody the three big ideas of a PLC.

White River High School was recognized as a Model PLC at Work® school in 2016. Amy was honored as the 2006 WAVA Outstanding Educator for Pierce County, the 2013–2014 Washington State Agriculture Educator of the Year, and the 2018–2019 PC WACTA Administrator of the Year. She is an active member of Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), Washington ACTE, Washington Association of Career and Technical Administrators (WACTA), The National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE), and Washington Association of Agricultural Educators (WAAE). Amy earned her master’s degree from Heritage University and a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University.
