Chad Lang

Chad Lang, associate superintendent of school improvement at Glenwood Community School District in Iowa, brings two decades of experience in teaching, administration, and district leadership, with expertise in curriculum development, grading reform, and Professional Learning Communities (PLC) at Work®. Under his leadership, Glenwood CSD achieved National Model PLC at Work District status and received a National Blue Ribbon Award for West Elementary from the U.S. Department of Education. Dr. Lang was recognized as the Missouri Athletic Administrator of the Year in 2018 and the Iowa Central Office Administrator of the Year in 2023.

Additionally, Dr. Lang coauthored the book A Parents’ Guide to Grading and Reporting: Being Clear About What Matters with Matt Townsley, and his work has been published in Phi Delta Kappan and by the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development’s (ASCD) Educational Leadership.

Dr. Lang holds a bachelor’s in social science education from the University of Northern Iowa, a master’s in secondary school administration from William Woods University, and a doctorate in policy analysis and program evaluation from the University of Missouri–Columbia. He serves as an adjunct professor in schools of education at the University of Nebraska–Omaha, Buena Vista University, and the University of Northern Iowa.
