School Improvement

This intensive 2-day workshop (12 hours total) will guide school leaders, instructional coaches, and educators through the essential components of implementing a research-aligned, system-level Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to drive substantial reading improvement in their elementary and middle schools. Grounded in the science of reading and system-level change, participants will learn how to make data-driven decisions and build collaborative teams that sustain improvement over time.

Teams are invited to a working two-day conference where they share the acceleration pathway, providing practical instructional strategies to ensure high levels of learning for all. Time will be allotted throughout the conference for teams to develop their own acceleration plans with the support of our expert practitioners.

Dr. Rosa Isiah, EdD, has served students in her community for over 30 years. Currently, she is the assistant superintendent of educational services in California—and is passionate about topics such as multilingual education and equity and access.

Josh McMahon, EdD, is the assistant superintendent of education programs for Morton District 201 in Illinois. Previously, he served as principal of Morton West High School.

In this one-hour webinar, participants will engage in discussion and reflect on the important components (who, what, when, and why) of establishing a leadership team and establishing direction for the 2021-2022 school year.

While highlighting the efforts of highly successful school districts, Janel Keating will describe how districts organize and align at each level to implement PLC concepts and practices systemwide.
