Hillary Woest

Hillary Woest is an instructional specialist at Pasadena Independent School District, a Model PLC at Work® district in Texas. With over 23 years of experience, she supports teachers and administrators in successfully implementing differentiated instruction in a PLC at Work. Hillary taught for five years, predominantly at the high school level. As a district-level administrator for over 18 years, she has served as a K–12 staff developer, team leader, instructional coach, and instructional specialist. She has led initiatives for high-needs campuses and created systems to support collaborative teams as they assure access to the general curriculum and the expectation of high levels of learning for all students.

In her role as a district instructional specialist, Hillary has helped campus teams across the district develop collective commitments and supported them through professional development and coaching utilizing the PLC process. Two of the campuses she worked with earned Model PLC at Work designations. Additionally, she collaborated with two high school campuses to create best practices for special education, leading to “Spotlight on Practices” recognitions from the Texas Education Agency’s Region 4.

Hillary completed her undergraduate studies earning a bachelor of science degree in communication disorders from The University of Houston and received her master of science in counseling from The University of Houston-Clear Lake.
