Breez Longwell Daniels

Breez Longwell Daniels is the curriculum and professional learning coordinator at Hot Springs County School District #1 in Wyoming and a Solution Tree associate for professional learning communities (PLC) and Response to Intervention (RTI) at Work™.

Serving for eleven years as a principal, Breez was named Wyoming Elementary/Middle Schools Principal of the Year, a National Distinguished Principal in 2016–2017, and the Wyoming Secondary Schools Principal of the Year in 2020.

Hot Springs County High School was designated a Model PLC at Work® school in the spring of 2021, during Breez’s tenure as principal, and they celebrated record ACT scores with the class of 2023. Previously, Breez was also principal of Thermopolis Middle School, which was named a Model PLC at Work school in 2017. Thermopolis Middle School was a finalist for the distinguished DuFour Award in 2018 and 2019. Breez was a Rebecca Burnette DuFour scholarship recipient for the Women in Education: Leading Perspectives Institute 2019.

In July 2020, Breez’s book, PLC at Work and Your Small School: Building, Deepening and Sustaining a Culture of Collaboration for Singletons was published by Solution Tree. Breez believes the professional learning community process transforms student learning and staff culture. She is an advocate for preparing small and rural school students for the academic rigor of college, career-technical and military readiness, and she believes teachers are the crucial factor in student success.

Breez has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a middle school endorsement from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Lesley University, and a K–12 Principal Leadership endorsement from the University of Wyoming.
