Cahill’s experiences as an educator began with teaching abroad, and her career in public education began as a middle school science teacher. Before becoming a leader at the district level, she was a middle school teacher in Westminster Public Schools for 13 years, where she planned and implemented competency-based instruction in science, literacy, and English language development.
Cahill holds a master’s degree in educational equity and cultural diversity from the University of Colorado Boulder. She also holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and a bachelor’s degree in marine science and biology.
