Christina Mullen Owen is an esteemed educational leader with over 15 years of experience. Currently serving as assistant principal at Collierville Middle School in Tennessee, she excels in curriculum development, project management, and fostering partnerships for academic success. Recognized as District Teacher of the Year in 2021, she is a distinguished educator, having served in various capacities from teacher to data/professional learning community (PLC) coach. Her commitment to student growth and community engagement is unwavering, evidenced by her roles as a textbook reviewer for the Tennessee Department of Education, TDOE state assessment bias reviewer, and adjunct instructor at the University of Memphis.
Christina holds an education specialist degree and a master of arts in teaching. She earned her bachelor of arts in literature from the University of Memphis. Christina holds certifications from the Crisis Prevention Institute and Project Lead the Way STEM, contributes to state assessments and textbook reviews, and is a fellow of both the Vanderbilt Peabody Institute and EdReports. She is currently working on her doctorate in education and is due to complete it in November of 2024.
