Elizabeth Salvato has more than 20 years of experience in the field, where she has served across the preK–12 continuum. Currently, she specializes in supporting and developing mentors and coaches as well as first-year educators.

Elizabeth Salvato

Elizabeth Salvato has more than 20 years of experience in the field, where she has served across the preK–12 continuum as a teacher, literacy coach, professional learning community coach, curriculum resource teacher, assistant principal, and new teacher lead. Currently, she oversees school-based new teacher mentors who support beginning teachers. She specializes in supporting and developing mentors and coaches as well as first-year educators.

Elizabeth became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2007. She was selected as the Just Read Literacy Coach of the Year for the Elementary Division in 2014. In 2011, she was awarded the title Just Read, Florida Reading Teacher of the Year for the Osceola School District. She received the Rebecca Burnette Dufour PLC Leadership Award in 2019.

Elizabeth is a certified trainer for the New Teacher Center and has been trained with formative student-centered coaching tools that support education, facilitating coaching sessions that emphasize the role of a coach/mentor.

Elizabeth received her master’s degrees in educational leadership and curriculum and instruction from the American College of Education and Grand Canyon University, respectively. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Central Florida.
