Kim Monkres is the principal of Snow Canyon High School, located in St. George, Utah. She began her career 22 years ago as a high school English and communications teacher and has coaching experience as well.

Kim Monkres is the principal of Snow Canyon High School, located in St. George, Utah. She began her career 22 years ago as a high school English and communications teacher and has coaching experience as well.
Kim has been fortunate to work in many capacities and has a passion and appreciation for the collaborative process in education. She has served as a learning coach, assistant principal, athletic director, middle school principal, and state activities director. She is currently the UASSP Board President.
Kim has experience with creating high-functioning collaborative teams, professional learning communities, curriculum development, curriculum design and mapping, instructional coaching, and RTI.
Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in English education and communications/journalism from Weber State University and her master’s degree in education administration from Southern Utah University.
