Dr. Lindsey Cochran, EdD, serves as the principal of Hillcrest Elementary in Morristown, Tennessee. Her leadership at Lincoln Heights Middle School earned Model PLC at Work® recognition and Tennessee Reward School status, highlighting her commitment to collaboration and student growth.

Lindsey Cochran currently serves as principal of Hillcrest Elementary School in Morristown, Tennessee. She is dedicated to improving student learning outcomes through teacher collaboration, utilizing the professional learning community (PLC) process. With over 10 years of experience in education, she is committed to ensuring high levels of learning for all students and sharing best practices with others.
During her career in education, Dr. Cochran served as special educator, multitiered systems of supports (MTSS) coordinator, and assistant principal. She became passionate about the PLC process during her time at Lincoln Heights Middle School, where strengthening these practices contributed to the school’s recognition as a Model PLC at Work® school. Additionally, the Tennessee Department of Education designated Lincoln Heights Middle School as a Reward School, a distinction given to institutions demonstrating exceptional student growth.
Dr. Cochran received her undergraduate degree from East Tennessee State University. She also holds a master’s degree in educational administration and supervision, as well as educational specialist and doctoral degrees in curriculum and instruction from Lincoln Memorial University.
