Patrice E. Fenton, PhD, is a former New York City Department of Education middle school special educator with deep experience in leadership and organizational development, as well as in measurement and evaluation, particularly regarding impact in communities of color.

Patrice E. Fenton, PhD, is a former New York City Department of Education middle school special educator and the cofounder and head of Organizational Well-Being at the Ella Baker Institute. Dr. Fenton has cultivated expertise as an equity-centered strategist with a passion for developing leadership, educating teachers, and generating collective wellness, particularly in Black communities. She is a highly skilled facilitator with deep experience in leadership and organizational development, as well as in measurement and evaluation, particularly regarding impact in communities of color.

Dr. Fenton is the former director of leader support and development at Education Leaders of Color, a nonprofit professional network of over 1,000 education leaders of color across more than 30 states. She also served as the first associate director of NYC Men Teach at the City University of New York and served as an adjunct assistant professor in the department of special education at Hunter College. Dr. Fenton also co-hosts the Educate U.S. podcast with Dr. Stacey Schultz. She holds four degrees, including a PhD in teaching and learning with a concentration in special education from the University of Miami and a bachelor’s in business administration from Temple University.
