Edward P. Darrah is a licensed and certified professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and is triple board-certified in counseling, school counseling, and telemental health. He is a full-time staff member at Temple University in Pennsylvania, and serves as a mental health and performance counselor for Temple University athletics.
Edward’s career in education started in 2010 in Lower Merion School District in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. His extensive training in mental health provided him the opportunity to work within diverse educational settings and a range of student populations. Prior to Temple University, he was employed as a school counselor at Catapult Learning, LLC, working within private and Catholic schools including the Philadelphia School, Visitation BVM Catholic School, and the Waldorf School of Philadelphia.
Edward’s professional memberships include the American Counseling Association, Association for Applied Sport Psychology, and American Psychological Association Division 47. He is an advocate for advancing mental health and helping bring awareness to the student-athlete population. In 2018, he was invited to participate as a panelist at the Northeast Atlantic Sport Psychology Conference to discuss athlete wellness. In addition to his clinical work, Edward is a member of the Academic and Student Life Board Committee at Neumann University in Aston Township, Pennsylvania. He is also a Disaster Mental Health volunteer with the Red Cross.
Edward received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Neumann University, a master’s in clinical counseling psychology from La Salle University, and a post-master’s certificate in school counseling from Immaculata University.
