Rebecca Williams, executive director of academic programs for Fulton County Schools, has over 15 years of instructional leadership experience. She led Webb Bridge Middle School in Alpharetta, Georgia, enhancing student achievement and transforming school culture. Rebecca also served as curriculum assistant principal and English department chair at Alpharetta High School. She focuses on growing student and teacher outcomes through coaching and professional learning communities.
Rebecca’s commitment to building relationships and student agency earned her titles such as AHS Foundation Hall of Fame and Fulton County Teacher of the Year. As principal of Webb Bridge Middle School, she prioritized a positive culture and community, enhancing academic achievement, student belonging, and earning accolades such as State and National School of Character, No Place for Hate, Distinguished PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), and Solution Tree Model PLC school.
Her publications include “The Intentional Route to Ownership,” “Roots and Wings: Principal Prepares Assistants for Career Transitions,” and “Teacher Evaluation and Support are not Mutually Exclusive.”
Rebecca earned a public relations degree from the University of Georgia and transitioned to education driven by a passion for student engagement, growth, and equity. She holds a master's in English education from Georgia State University and an educational leadership degree from Valdosta State University.
