Incorporate technology into literacy practices and the K–6 curriculum

Now more than ever, it is critical that we explore meaningful and engaging literacy practices in digital spaces. In this interactive book study, Katie and Lindsay will highlight strategies from their book, including but not limited to ways to enhance students’ word recognition, fluency, comprehension, and writing skills using technology. Participants will explore a variety of digital tools to leverage student-centered practices to foster creation, communication, and collaboration in both school and remote learning circumstances. Katie and Lindsay will invite participants to try out and share about some of the ideas from the sessions as they consider application for their own classroom contexts.
