Michael Roberts is an author and consultant with over two decades of experience in education. Michael has been a teacher and administrator at every level from elementary school to the district office. He is the author of Enriching the Learning: Meaningful Extensions for Proficient Students in a PLC at Work, Shifting from Me to We: How to Jumpstart Collaboration in PLC at Work, and The Language of Possibility: How Teachers’ Words Shape School Culture and Student Achievement.

Michael’s career has allowed him to work with students from all demographics. He has worked in schools and districts with affluent students as well as schools where most students lived below the poverty line. The one consistency he has seen is that every student arrives in school ready and willing to learn and that every teacher shows up every day, giving his or her best for the students in their charge. Michael was the principal of Desert View Elementary School, the first school to be recognized as a Model PLC at Work® school in the state of Oregon. Since then, he has supported six other schools across the United States to earn Model PLC status.

Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Washington State University and his master’s degree in educational leadership from Azusa Pacific University.

Michael is on twitter at @everykidnow, his Instagram account is: everykidnow, he shares his ruminations and lessons he has learned on his blog at everykidnow.com.
