Thomas Soto, an assistant principal at Sanger High School, oversees English, English learners, and special education. He has worked with students from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

David A. Sousa, EdD, is an author and international consultant. He has received numerous awards from professional associations, school districts, and educational foundations for his commitment to research, staff development, and science education.

Susan K. Sparks has served as a teacher, staff developer, and executive director. Her areas of expertise include consensus building, decision making, contract negotiations, conflict resolution, strategic planning, and professional learning communities.

Jennifer L. Sparrow is deputy superintendent of Singapore American School. She spent 13 years as a middle school teacher and 11 years as a schoolwide administrator.

John Spencer is an assistant professor of educational technology at George Fox University. Previously, he spent twelve years as a middle school teacher at the Cartwright Elementary School District in Phoenix, Arizona.

With over 30 years of experience in K–12 education, author and education expert Jeanne Spiller is an associate with Solution Tree, supporting schools and districts through workshops, coaching, and collaborative initiatives to enhance instruction, foster innovation, and promote equity.

Brian M. Stack is a superintendent of schools in New Hampshire and a former principal who specializes in supporting teachers and administrators in developing, sustaining, and enhancing structures to support all learners.

Melody Stacy is chief academic officer for the Northern Kentucky Cooperative for Educational Services. With more than 26 years of experience amplifying school culture and student success, she has served as a teacher, curriculum specialist, and principal.

Mandy Stalets is a teacher and learner who is passionate about sound assessment and grading practices, as well as standards-based learning. Along with her consulting work, she is currently a high school mathematics teacher at Illinois State University’s laboratory schools.
