Farshid Safi, PhD, is an assistant professor of mathematics education at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando. Dr. Safi focuses on developing prospective teachers’ conceptual understanding of elementary and secondary mathematics, as well as connecting mathematical topics through the use of technology and dynamic software.
Makini Sutherland, EdD, is a mathematics educator with experience at the elementary, high school, and collegiate level. She has also facilitated training elementary teachers for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Jamaica mathematics project.
Jennifer Tobias, PhD, is an associate professor at Illinois State University. She specializes in elementary mathematics with emphasis on preparing prospective elementary teachers and developing their understanding of mathematics.
Jennifer A. Wolfe, PhD, is an associate professor of mathematics education at the University of Arizona. She has taught a variety of courses, facilitated professional development workshops for K–12 prospective and in-service teachers, and most recently co-developed a middle-grades summer lab school with a local school district.
