Connie Schrock, PhD, is a professor of mathematics, computer science, and economics at Emporia State University. She also leads a task force that supports the Common Core State Standards for mathematics.

Connie Schrock

Connie Schrock, PhD, is a professor of mathematics, computer science, and economics at Emporia State University. She also leads a task force that supports the Common Core State Standards for mathematics. Dr. Schrock served three years as regional director of the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics.

Dr. Schrock has worked with many school districts to provide professional development to educators, specializing in writing, assessment, implementing the Common Core, and active learning in mathematics. She served eight years as national historian for Kappa Mu Epsilon honorary mathematics fraternity.

Dr. Schrock is former president of the Kansas Association of Teachers of Mathematics and chair of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics task force, which writes the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education teaching standards. She has received a number of awards from Emporia State University for excellence in teaching and service.

She received a BSE and an MA in mathematics from Emporia State University and an MS and a PhD from Kansas State University.
