Georgina Rivera began her career as a middle school mathematics teacher and currently serves as an administrator for a preK through eighth-grade school in Bristol, Connecticut.

Georgina Rivera

Georgina Rivera is a passionate mathematics teacher, coach, presenter, author, and leader. She began her career as a middle school mathematics teacher and currently serves as an administrator for a preK through eighth-grade school in Bristol, Connecticut.

She previously served as the elementary STEM supervisor for Bristol Public Schools and as a districtwide elementary math coach. She is also currently a presenter at the local and national level on best practices in mathematics teaching and learning, professional learning communities, mathematics coaching, leadership, culturally relevant practices, and equitable math practices.

In addition, she was the former professional learning director and currently serves as vice president on the NCSM board. She received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.
