Jeff Byrnes is the former principal of Mountain Meadow Elementary in the White River School District in Buckley, Washington. With over 25 years of experience in elementary education, Jeff specializes in the implementation of professional learning communities and multitiered systems of supports.

Using professional learning communities (PLC) and multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS/RTI) processes, educators can use targeted intervention methods to improve behavior and foster a positive school culture.

Karin K. Hess, EdD, the creator of the Hess Cognitive Rigor Matrices, is an internationally recognized speaker and leader in developing practical approaches for using cognitive rigor and learning progressions in assessments. Since 1998, Karin has been working in schools as an elementary and middle school principal, district curriculum director, and classroom teacher.
