Amy Clark has more than 29 years of experience in public education. A skilled district and school administrator committed to exceptional instructional leadership, she is passionate about school improvement, believing this is accomplished through a strong collaborative team and an unwavering commitment to learning for all.
Before becoming a Solution Tree associate, Amy was the principal of Lamar Elementary in Midland, Texas. Under her leadership, Lamar became an academically acceptable campus after four years of being “Improvement Required” by the Texas Education Agency. Following implementation of the PLC at Work® process, Lamar showed dramatic and sustained growth over time. In the spring of 2020, Lamar was recognized as a Model PLC at Work school by Solution Tree. In addition to being a model school, Lamar Elementary was also recognized for its positive culture and climate by being named a 2019–2020 Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School.
Before her work at Lamar Elementary, Amy served on several school and district turnaround teams, leading campuses and districts to receive multiple academic distinctions from the state. In 2015, she served as an assistant lecturer for the College of Education at Texas A&M University, and in 2012, she received the Texas Association of Parents and Educators of the Deaf’s Administrator of the Year Service Award.
Amy has a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Sam Houston State University.
