Cindy Watters

Cindy Watters is currently the principal and lead learner of Whittier Elementary School in Seattle Public Schools. With experience in large urban school districts and international schools, Cindy has worked and led in a wide variety of settings around the world.

She has served as a middle school principal in Seattle Public Schools and as a district curriculum specialist. From 2015 to 2019 she was the executive director of student services at Singapore American School, where she oversaw preK–12 professional learning communities, response to intervention, learning support, speech services, health services, and behavior intervention supports.

A career educator, Cindy brings her practical expertise as a teacher and school leader to her work with teams to engage in meaningful support for high levels of learning for all students.

Cindy holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Pacific Lutheran University, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Washington, and a Washington State Principal Certificate from Seattle University.
