Doug Lillydahl
Doug Lillydahl is recently retired after 12 years as director of communication arts at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Illinois. He has been an integral part of professional learning communities for three decades while supporting literacy interventions and staff development.

Doug Lillydahl is recently retired after 12 years as director of communication arts at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Illinois. He has been an integral part of professional learning communities (PLC) for three decades while supporting multitiered system of supports (MTSS) literacy interventions and staff development, innovating in ELA assessment and data analysis, and supporting curricular and instructional evolution.
Doug worked in education for 33 years as an English and American studies teacher, curricular administrator, and presenter. He is a former curricular team leader, award-winning swim team coach, and activity sponsor—as well as a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, National Council of Teachers of English, Learning Forward, International Literacy Association, and Illinois Principals Association.
Doug earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and organizational behavior from Stanford University, a teaching certification from the University of Washington, and a master’s degree in administrative leadership in education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
