Ken Christian

Kenneth Christian is an assistant principal at Fern Creek High School in Louisville, Kentucky. His work focuses on ensuring a guaranteed and viable curriculum for all students through the professional learning community process and transforming the work of collaborative teacher teams. Kenneth has served at Fern Creek High School as an assistant principal for the past six years—and he is proud to continue what others started: the establishment of Fern Creek as a Model PLC at Work® school and a recipient of the Dufour Award.

Prior to this role, he spent seven years at the middle school level as a teacher, resource teacher, and interventionist. Throughout his career, Kenneth has focused on creating effective RTI systems, transforming grading practices, and enhancing collaborative school cultures. He has presented his work on intervention systems at regional and national conferences, including the Making Schools Work conference by the Southern Regional Education Board.

Kenneth is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned both a bachelor's in human development and a master’s in education. He also holds an educational specialist degree in instructional leadership and school administration from Bellarmine University. Currently, Kenneth is actively pursuing his doctorate in education at the University of Louisville, furthering his commitment to excellence in educational leadership.
