Brandon Eighmy

Brandon Eighmy, EdD, is director of human resources and school services at Carlisle Community School District in Iowa. An educator for more than 20 years, he has been an elementary teacher, middle school teacher, elementary assistant principal, middle school assistant principal, and elementary principal. He has worked in districts with high levels of poverty and students from minority populations, which provides him with a unique perspective of leadership.

With 10 years of experience in human resources and nine years as a building-level principal, he has built human capital protocols and created systems and structures that work. Dr. Eighmy’s experience also includes building structures that led his school district to become a Model PLC at Work® school district. He understands the challenges of leading high-functioning organizations and knows the strategies necessary to build sustainable systems.

Dr. Eighmy earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Central College, a master’s degree in school leadership from Baker University, and specialist and doctorate degrees from Drake University.
