Brian Greeney

Brian Greeney, EdD, serves as the chief of school in a public school district in Texas. His focus is on helping secondary schools use the PLC process to grow their student and teacher efficacy. His most recent prior experience was as head principal at Klein Oak High School, a position he held from 2013 to 2017. During his time at Klein Oak, his campus was designated a national Model PLC at Work® campus and a Schools Transforming Learning institution. He also served as the head principal of Wunderlich Intermediate School from 2011 to 2013. Previously, Brian was a USA and high school swim coach, coaching the USA Open Water National Team in the World Championships in 2004.

Brian has received multiple accolades for his time in public education. He has been designated an N2 Learning Transforming School Leader, C.A.S.E. Equity Champion, Klein ISD Secondary Principal of the Year, and Klein ISD Superintendent Initiative Award winner; recognized as a Stars of Tomorrow Outstanding Teacher in Klein ISD; and awarded multiple district and regional Coach of the Year awards in swimming.

Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in government at the University of Texas at Austin, a master’s degree in educational administration from Prairie View A&M University, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Sam Houston State University. Most recently, he attended the Rice Executive Education Program and earned a business fellowship from Rice University.
