David Hoss is elementary principal of Singapore American School. He has built a powerful professional learning community in his school that focuses on reviewing and evaluating key assessment data to ensure the success of all students. His leadership emphasizes the curricular areas of reading, writing, and math, while promoting the acquisition of a second language for all elementary learners. David previously served as an elementary principal in Colorado and a teacher and counselor in Colorado and Wyoming.
He received the 2010 National Distinguished Principals Award from the National Association of Elementary School Principals and a commendation for service and outstanding contributions to American children overseas from the US Department of State’s Office of Overseas Schools.
David earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of South Dakota, a master’s degree in counseling from Chadron State University, and a specialist degree in education from the University of Denver.
